Parents/Carers

We are delighted to finally share our Ofsted report with you.

The school was inspected in the last week of the spring term and we are very pleased that they recognised that we continue to be a securely good school. This was an ungraded inspection which means the inspectors come to ensure we are still maintaining standards and showing our overall effectiveness to be good, rather than change any judgements.

The lead inspector left the final feedback session saying of our school ‘what an exciting place to be in and what a joy the children were to be around’. He highly commended our children and noted how positive, focused and inquisitive they were whilst also being extremely polite.

We are so very proud of our children and all our staff for demonstrating our culture and values and what we do day in and day out. Our staff were noted for their strong subject knowledge

There were many strengths seen throughout the two days and only one area they felt we could focus more on in supporting our children to fully understand some of the grammar vocabulary - which can be very tricky to explain further up the school. All the children could show what he asked but not always fully explain it. We will of course continue to ensure this checking takes place for all our children.

Some of the highlights in the report include:

‘The school has high expectations for pupils… as a result, pupils achieve well’

‘The school has developed an ambitious curriculum for pupils’

‘Pupil’s behaviour in lessons and around the school site is extremely positive’

The children are ‘confident, kind and take pride in looking after each other’

‘Well matched interventions are put in place to support these pupils to catch up’

‘Pupils have extremely positive attitudes to their education and produce high quality work enthusiastically contribute ideas during their lessons ’

Pupils ‘share well with each other and play together harmoniously’

We hope that you will read the report in full and feel the same sense of pride that we have for our children and our school community. As ever, we thank you for your ongoing support.
